ROSA, an acronym for Remembering Our Shared Abundance, is a community wealth building project that seeks to address the challenges of entrepreneurship, particularly the need for a trusted network of peers and advisors, and access to the right types of capital. We do this through a peer community, The ROSA Collective, and our forthcoming solidarity economy lab, The ROSA Project. Ultimately, we aim to create community based investing opportunities in support of Triangle-area Black women and femme business owners and creatives.

There are two ways to engage in this work:

The ROSA Project

The ROSA Project is our forthcoming hub for community-based programming centered around the principles and practices of the solidarity economy and cooperative economics. More to come in summer/fall 2026.

We are currently fundraising to support the development of The ROSA Project to support a small team of contractors who will create and implement programming. You can donate via RCWMS, our fiscal sponsor (select The ROSA Project in the designation dropdown menu). We deeply appreciate your generosity.

The ROSA Collective

Launched in 2025, ROSA Collective is a membership-based community created to support Black women and femme entrepreneurs, small business owners, and creatives in the Triangle region of North Carolina. Through regular programming, in-person and virtual gatherings, we provide members access to trusted resources and guidance, peer-to-peer support, and intentional space for rest and dreaming.

We offer a Core Membership for Black women and femme business owners and creatives, as well as Solidarity Membership for members of our broader community who want to support and engage in creating alternative, local systems of support rooted in collectivism and solidarity.

I come from a family of small business owners and understand how hard it is to run a business on your own. As a former lender, I especially understand how challenging it is without appropriate, strategic guidance, support, and access to capital. In this socio-political moment, I believe that we must lean on ancestral wisdoms and build strategies for resource sharing that are rooted in community care.
